Choosing home care is personal. We focus on understanding the individual, keeping families informed, and matching the support to the need.

  • Start with a conversation about goals, routines, and concerns
  • Discuss a personalized service plan and schedule
  • Explain the differences between companion, personal, and nursing care
  • Review needs as circumstances change

About M&J

A locally based home care team with a human touch

M&J Homecare Services LLC was established to help families navigate the day-to-day realities of caring for someone at home.

Our approach brings together compassionate caregiver support and nursing-informed leadership, with attention to dignity, communication, safety, and individualized needs. We recognize that reliable care means more than completing tasks: it means respecting the person and earning a family’s confidence.

Georgia license: PHCP046094. Authorized categories: Personal Care, Companion or Sitter, and Nursing. Our initial license is provisional, issued October 27, 2026 and scheduled to expire January 27, 2027, subject to the state licensing process. See current licensing documentation or confirm status with Georgia DCH.
Our commitments

Care shaped by what matters

  • Dignity and respect in every interaction
  • Family involvement when authorized and welcomed
  • Clear explanations of services and limitations
  • Attention to safety and changes in needs
  • Honest scheduling and staffing conversations
Planning and paying

Understand your care options before you decide

We’ll discuss anticipated hours, the type of care needed, and the payment approach before services begin.

Private pay: Ask our team for a personalized estimate. Long-term care insurance: Coverage depends on your policy, eligibility, documentation, and the insurer’s decision. Medicaid waivers or other programs: Agency participation and each person’s eligibility must be verified; a state license does not establish that M&J is enrolled with a program.

Questions worth asking

  • Which tasks and schedule does my loved one need?
  • Are we looking for nonmedical or licensed nursing services?
  • How many hours of support would help?
  • Does a policy or benefit require prior authorization?
  • What changes if care needs increase?

We do not guarantee insurance or waiver payment, enrollment, or reimbursement.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which level of care is right?

Start by describing the daily activities that are becoming difficult. We can explain personal care, companionship, and nursing services and discuss the appropriate next step. A clinical assessment may be necessary for nursing-related needs.

Can you arrange care for a few hours or overnight?

We can discuss a range of schedules, including extended and overnight coverage. Actual availability depends on location, the services required, and staffing. Around-the-clock care requires a confirmed, appropriate shift arrangement.

Do you provide dementia or disability-related support?

We welcome inquiries about support for people living with cognitive impairment or disabilities. We assess specific needs, safety considerations, and staff qualifications before confirming whether we can provide the requested services. We do not claim a specialized certification or a particular Medicaid program enrollment.

Will insurance or Medicaid cover services?

Private pay may be an option. Long-term care insurance benefits vary. Medicaid or waiver-funded care requires the applicable eligibility, authorization, and agency participation requirements. Please contact us to review what has been confirmed; coverage is not guaranteed.

Can you provide medical treatment in the home?

Our license includes nursing as an authorized service category. Whether a specific nursing intervention can be offered depends on the assessment, qualified staffing, orders when required, and applicable rules. Personal care and companion services are not substitutes for nursing or emergency medical care.

Which areas does M&J serve?

We are authorized in DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Clayton, Rockdale, and Newton counties in Georgia. Please share your ZIP code so we can confirm current availability.
